Liming Pei, PhD
Associate Professor
Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
CTRB 6018
The overall goal of the Pei lab is to understand how different organs react to energy cues and communicate with each other to maintain whole-organism homeostasis in both physiological and pathological contexts. Current research focus include: (1) Cardiac endocrinology: identification and functional study of heart-derived hormones in physiology and disease; (2) Single-cell genomics to understand cardiac and metabolic biology and disease; (3) Regulation of mitochondrial function important in metabolic disease. We welcome postdoctoral fellows and (rotating) graduate students to join us in our endeavors.
